Subverting the Standard XS650 Chopper Style

Mar 17, 2026

We were trying to subvert the standard XS650 chopper style, opting for a unique build. We didn’t go too righteous with this build as we wanted to keep rideability in mind. In order to accommodate the 4” over forks we raked the front end. The tool box is from an unknown source, but fits perfectly in the gap on the hardtail by the back axle plate.

Paint was done by 2 Smoking Guns, who we use for all of our bikes.

We decided to challenge ourselves and install Amal carbs by getting custom manifolds fabricated by our very capable local fabricator, allowing them to fit. The original charging system, which was prone to failure, was replaced with a PMA charging system.

We are always looking to help you create the machine of your dreams. We can supply a project bike, completely change your current ride, or get that one that has been sitting waiting for the final touches to get it road worthy.

Though we built this for us to ride, we are always in the business of selling bikes. We would let this go for $7,999. Our showroom is constantly changing so come down and have a look.

Adorned with a blue metal flake fiberglass body, this thing oozes 70’s cool, ready to power over Baja sand, or Ogden snow.

An 8hp Tecumseh powers the CVT, we installed a smaller belt to allow for maximum power output. Independent rear disc brakes allow you to hit some tight corners, though the lack of a roll cage may make you rethink.

The elusive Ski attachement we are searching for so we can really test our might in the winter.

If we do not locate an original, we will get it up on the bench and fabricate one, as we are gluttons for punishment.

If you, or anyone you know, has anything interesting collecting dust in the shed, please reach out to us as we are always looking for cool machines.
