Unfortunately there only seems to be one lone survivor in the world, so we were forced to build our own. We wanted to make an inspired by, not a copy, that would be street legal without losing the original feel. We installed little signals and Wal-mart special halogen headlights. The original bikes would have had Lucas-Rita ignition installed, in lieu of that we used a Boyer ignition and podtronics regulator/rectifier. All wiring was done by Dan Barnett. Phil cut custom aluminum side panels and front plates, which were powder coated white by Calgary Powder Coatings, as well as all the black % silver coatings. Custom seat and vinyl covers courtesy of our friends at Degreeves Auto Upholstery. The front end features a very neat Norman-Hyde fork brace. As opposed to the double right side pipes that were necessary for bikes built exclusively to turn left, we opted for TT pipes that sweep under the frame. The rear seat loop was stolen from a BSA 250 in order to shorten the geometry. Mark II Amal carbs with velocity stacks (called bell mouths in England) were used as an homage to the factory built machines. It sounds as good as it looks, standing next to the starting line with 7 of these running in unison would have been a sight, and sound, to be experienced.
We are constantly building custom bikes and would love to help you bring your crazy ideas to life. Winter is the time for big projects from restorations, custom builds, to wild choppers. Whatever you want to create, we will make it happen. Get in touch with us and we will make a plan.
