We headed down to the Wild Rose MX track this past weekend for Vintage MX Alberta’s 3rd race of the season. We had a tent and a BBQ in the pit to keep the racers fueled up. There was some beautiful machines being raced, BSAs, Can-ams, Yamahas, and Hodakas to name a few. Our resident Brazilian mechanic Fellipe and apprentice Midge were representing us in the vintage trail bike class. Fellipe was on a 1979 Yamaha XT500 built in house by owner Phil and Midge had his first time on dirt on his 1994 DT200, though it might need some post race repairs. They may not have won, but they made us proud and we hope to see them on the track again soon. Now the whole shop has the dirt bug, we have purchased a 1981 IT125 to ride in the bush and hopefully some more racing.
