1971 BSA B50 SS STREET SCRAMBLER $5,250.

The SS Street Scrambler was one of 3 variants of the B50 which debuted in 1971 all with an off-road bent to them and of the trio , the SS was the most roadable and the designation suggested it carried a combination of road and offroad ability.

The high mount exhaust was more a stylistic move and a reflection of the popularity of scramblers at the time , it was also called the Gold Star 500.

The B50 was the evolution of the B44 singles but with a larger engine and 13 kilograms lighter , brakes were still drums but the front featured a larger air scoop to aid cooling.

This would be the last BSA single almost 2800 examples of the B50 SS Gold Star were built over two years, and few have survived.

This bike is a resto mod , has electronic ignition, 4 speed chain drive, dry weight 140 kilograms ,seat height of 32 inches  fuel capacity 11.4 liters, has a custom paint job , and ground up resto.

Most B50’s on the market today will have been ridden sparingly and similarly most would have been restored , so here’s a chance to own a nice resto mod version with a nice paint job.
