We were trying to subvert the standard XS650 chopper style, opting for a unique build. We didn’t go too righteous with this build as we wanted to keep rideability in mind. In order to accommodate the 4” over forks we raked the front end. The tool box is from an unknown source, but fits perfectly in the gap on the hardtail by the back axle plate.
Paint was done by 2 Smoking Guns, who we use for all of our bikes.
We decided to challenge ourselves and install Amal carbs by getting custom manifolds fabricated by our very capable local fabricator, allowing them to fit. The original charging system, which was prone to failure, was replaced with a PMA charging system.
